Social Gears Creates the First in a Series of Social Gaming Applications

Emeryville, CA (PRWEB) January 28, 2009

Social Gears (http://www.socialgears.com), a social application development company has released the first in a series of social gaming application on Facebook (http://apps.facebook.com/dragonsquest/).

Dragon's Quest allows users to choose an alter-ego and begin a journey that involves battles, weapons, magic spells, spying, acquiring property and joining different clans. Players level up by questing or by attacking other players. By undertaking quests and challenges, players earn enough points to unlock new experiences and move to the next level.

"We wanted to create an engaging application that gives users a strong incentive to continue playing the game," said Jeff Roberts, CTO of Social Gears. "I wanted to take us to another world where we can have magical powers, form clans and battle to take over the kingdom."

"Dragon's Quest is modeled around the most popular gaming applications that you find on Facebook today," said Mark Wayman, Co-Founder of Social Gears. "Dragon's Quest is the first in a series of new social games that we plan to release throughout 2009 on Facebook and other social networks like MySpace, Bebo and Hi5. It is our first step into the explosive world of social gaming."
